I think,
You come,
With all the passions of the wind,
Blowing like an Oklahoma Storm.
Your looks,
Your touch,
Your moves and your charm,
Take me to the highest of the highs,
Then drop me to the lowest of the lows.
You spin me like a tornado.
The when the damage is done,
You leave the wreckage behind,
And me with nothing to hold on to,
Until I pick up the pieces and start to settle back in,
Oh lord,
Here comes that wind again.
I never knew,
There were people like you,
Who could touch me so deep and so true.
We went on our way
Growing closer each day
The skies were so sunny and blue,
But I should have known better
Then to think we’d stay together
‘Cause no one can change the weather.
So I tried and I tried to hold on through the rain
Never knowing what I might lose or might gain
Then the lightning and thunder rolled out all the pain
I watched my whole world fall apart as it spinned
Everything breaks when no one can bend
But I should have known that you cannot hold onto the wind
So I dry up my tear
Then face my fear
And the skies all begin to look clear
I start to move on
While the darkness is gone
I survived and I smile thinking I won
But you won’t let it end
So you walk back in
This old heart won’t ever mend
As long as its chasing the wind
I think,
You come,
With all the passions of the wind,
Blowing like an Oklahoma Storm.
Your looks,
Your touch,
Your moves and your charm,
Take me to the highest of the highs,
Then drop me to the lowest of the lows.
You spin me like a tornado.
The when the damage is done,
You leave the wreckage behind,
And me with nothing to hold on to,
Until I pick up the pieces and start to settle back in,
Oh lord,
Here comes that wind again.
Here comes that wind
Here comes that old wind again
