You get inside me

Updated on September 27, 2010

and then there was the dream of you...

i walked through the tree lined path with the sun on my face

and pulled the sweet intoxicating scent of honey suckle into me

you are the reason i was there in my sleep

my dreams have turned from nightmarish hells

into fairy laden, silver tipped, liquid sunshine

and you were there.

holding out a hand to me

and taking me into the forest

the night

serenaded by lilacs and love

surrounded by the beauty created in the space between us

the immortal feeling of ecstasy

painted on my lips

as we dance having not to move at all

in my mind

i see you

in my veins

i feel you

as though you were lying next to me

feeding me the sweet dreams

of immortality and unbreakable virtue

high is my heart

hanging in the weeping willow of truth

and you pull it down

and taste its nectar

and rescue me.

enveloped in your shadow

sung into your soul.

i beg for the serenity of your presence

far too much

and you never cease to deliver

I'm powerless against you

and hold out my hand freely

as we chance the forbidden

"Fairy laden, silver tipped, liquid sunshine..." You can certainly turn a phrase, Pink!

Lyrical and magical, the words caress my mind like a gentle evening breeze, scented with jasmine and wildflower. You have captured the dream and its essence beautifully. Well done! awesome.

Oh PinkUm, what has become of you? Do I detect a shimmer of joy glistening through that dark veil of tears and sadness? I am happy that you are finding your way through the pain through your writing. I agree with Colin that there is a metamorphisis underway. A creepy crawly caterpillar struggles its way up the tree trunk to construct its coccoon, casts off its existence trusting its nature, undergoes massive change and emerges to be what it was always meant to be, a colorful butterfly in full communion with the wind. I agree with Jay, as well.

More is expected from a butterfly once it embraces its essence and takes flight. Spread your wings and glide with the warm breezes and cool drafts, always rising.

Pink, The romance of the soul is an enchanting and airy muse; and you treated it with a delicate metaphoric purity that excites the senses... Well done...

8 years ago have become quite the serious poet my dear and I've noticed many things about you (from afar) ... you seem to be going through changes in your life - I see some 'housecleaning' here ..... and your writing is reflecting a new maturity, a new wisdom and this finely tuned poetic side of you. Splendid!

Very beautiful, and this poem demonstrates your versatility as a writer and poet. Many people draw from the same emotions over and over when they write--for example, I draw from my darker emotions to write poetry. Those who write song lyrics do this a great deal. They write from the same place in their minds and hearts. I've seen you write with pain, mystery, fear and joy. You have found words for a wide range of feelings so well. Thanks for sharing your talent with us again.

jay- theres nothing i love better than bing held to the standard that i should be upholding. And i love a challenge as well. Please dont stop commenting and encourageing and criticising. i think your one of the only people who i dont crinkle my nose at when given constructive criticism.

Okay Pink- I am not dissapointed, and there's plenty here to enrapture.

This is closer to what I was talking about. Keep letting the words, and your deft use of imagery, convey your emotion. If you hadn't written this before i sent my comments, i might have thought i'd rubbed off on you. Of course, having seen your wonderful work here, i will have to hold you to a higher standard. ;)

      Hearts to Pink.

@JayDeck-suggest to check out the ambient band FROLIC (husband/wife duo) from Florida. Album named "To Dream, Perchance To Sleep" is great for the lunar hours.

wow.. though I won't say it is erotic, but very beautifully written lines though little sensual . As usual very well knitted words. Keep penning, after very long a non negative writing.
