Your heart's desire - poem

Updated on March 19, 2016

His Grace is Amazing

Your heart’s desire

From far away you saw me

And found me lying in the dungeon

Of sin and unclean clay;

By your loving arm, you lifted me up.

Whiter than snow thou washed me

With splendorous apparel thou clothed me;

You made me stand by your side

With your warm love, you held me close.

‘Am I worthy for this?’ thus I wondered

Found I nothing good in me, to receive your grace;

To own me as your treasure forever

The price you paid is your life.

Sought thou for this little vapour

Like a hunter for his prey;

In this short journey of wandering

I keep wondering over thine deeds.

‘What made you come after me?’

Was my question for many years;

Till I found the startling answer—

This grace-chosen one is thine heart’s desire.

Assurance of God's election of Grace

Do you believe in the unconditional election of God?

      Last Dec, I was going through really tough time . One day I was driving to a prayer meeting and was held up in traffic Jam. I had the same question in my mind " Lord Am I worthy for anything. In this populated world and so many righteous people, will you remember me'. In that meeting God spoke to me like this "My grace is sufficient for you and I know you by name". Amen and Amen
