a Quick Fix
A New Approach
When I have a tough day
I come home beat and exhausted
When things don't go my way
I am a little under the weather
I know I tried hard to make it work
Realizing I did all I could
I need a lift
I hop in and get a nice hot shower
I throw a pair of pajamas on
I could turn for a nice stiff drink
That could lead to another
I could eat and bury my sorrows deep
In a big bowl of ice cream or popcorn
That wouldn't solve the problem
I got it
I pull out three pairs of my work pants and shirts
Go downstairs and throw them in the dryer
After twenty minutes I pull them out
I sit in my favorite chair
Wrap myself in the clothes
They are thick and hold the heat
The heat of the clothes are soothing
Read some wonderful hubs
I feel so comfortable
Sometimes I turn on the music
Take a nap
Other times I write
My body is being pleased
From the outside in
My thoughts of my day vanish
All that remains is a smile
