let go

Oh Misery! Abandon Me!

OH HELLO again!! It´s you again.,

MISERY,

I thought I´d sent you packing!

What is it that you want with me?

What do you think I´m lacking?

Oh , misery, please go away.

GO HOME!, LET GO! AWAY WITH YOU!

I´m not the one you want, babe,

Said Dylan years ago,

Now go away! Oh, misery

And please come back no more.

I let you in and kept you with me,

That was my mistake.,

Now I´m awake. - aware of you,

I´ll not my joy forsake.,

I´ll never let you in again.

I´m stronger now than ever.

So, Misery...It´s you again,

but beat me? You will never.

M Many things that you can not control

I Issues that get the best of you

S Suffering that you allow to hurt you in every way

E Effecting your life and your greatest loves

R Reasons you don't understand and can't comprehend

Y Yesterday the only time you will let it come back again

I hope maybe you can look at m i s e r y in a different way from now on. nice but sad hub

I don´t think you were silly when you had your ´miserable´ time. Life can be tough.

I´m pleased you have come through and choose to be happy now.

I look forward to a long hubfriendship between us. Take care.

I can relate to this poem. It reminds me of my 30s and how misery was such a big part of my life. It is silly now in retrospect but life can throw some cruel blows and it take great insight and foresight to not stay stuck in the misery of it all.

Now I have banished misery, much like you say. I am making the CHOICE to be happy.

    Thanks for sharing.

Glad to hear it, Ixxy... I´m trying to give the darned things a miss altogether. Too much misery in the world. I´m going on a hunt for my sense of humour.

    Thanks for stopping by. x

hahhahaahaa I dont know. Ive often wondered why it so hard to think of something to write when I am in a good mood. I mean, I think of things, but its mostly goofy and stuff no one would read.

I´d forgotten that expression ´misery loves company´ It´s so easy to become friends with it. Iknew I was getting better when my poetry started getting worse.! Ha Ha! Why is poetry always better when one is miserable.?
