An Ode to My Daughter

Waking up to your smiling face brings joy to each day

Without you in my life, I would die, I must say

You came into this world struggling to survive

You are an inspiration, and that’s no jive!

I have no fear you will go far in this world and achieve your dreams

Even though times will get tougher in this world it seems

You are such a sweet child and make friends everywhere

I hope that you will always surround yourself with people who truly care

About you, your faith, your goals and admirations

And are also caring, helpful, patient, and have countless appreciation!

I love you with all of my heart; I hope you will always know

That you are the reason my heart continues to grow
