An Ode to my Daughter

Waking up to your smiling face brings joy to each day

Without you in my life, I would die, I must say

You came into this world struggling to survive

You are an inspiration, and that’s no jive!

I have no fear you will go far in this world and achieve your dreams

Even though times will get tougher in this world it seems

You are such a sweet child and make friends everywhere

I hope that you will always surround yourself with people who truly care

About you, your faith, your goals and admirations

And are also caring, helpful, patient, and have countless appreciation!

I love you with all of my heart; I hope you will always know

That you are the reason my heart continues to grow

Really beautiful! I'm selecting a few poems to link to mine, "They're The Marrying Kind," and this is one of my favorites. Thanks you so much for sharing, and all the best to you and your lovely daughter.
