Updated on February 20, 2008

APA

APA is a shortened version of American Psychological Association style of writing. This particular writing style is one of the most accepted styles of writing. With APA format, the headings, format, and citations, of and entire paper is set to a standard.

Hopefully, I will be able to help you with citations in APA style writing. Usually citing a source properly can be he easiest thing to forget or to mess up. So, below you'll find just that information.

Remember when citing you need to:

  • Write the author's name- Last name, First initial. Middle initial.
  • Write the date- Year, Month Day
  • Write the date of a magazine article include the month, date, and year
  • Write the date of a journal article include the year.

When putting your Bibliography together:

  • List sources in alphabetical order.
  • Indent any lines after the first.
