A sip of blood - the dream of a newborn: A POEM
I have walked through the steps of life
Journeyed along its paths
Seen its many faces
Sat on its many laps
Felt its scourge
Eaten from its pain
Drank from its bitterness
Played on its thorny leaves
I have seen it all
Life has taught me the way of love
Shown me the door to hate
Banged my head on it jealousy
Slapped me with its betrayal
In its suffering I bathed
Chewing of its crudeness
Wandered in its discrimination
Abandoned to its horror
I have cried bitterly
I have begged endlessly
I have searched aimlessly
I have screamed without restraint
Like a lunatic I wandered
Singing songs of sorrow
I have wept through smiles
Asking in confusion
My eyes are puffed up
My face swollen
My mouth shouting a cry
My heart is bloody
What did I do?
Why have I failed?
Where did I go wrong?
Who is my tormentor?
How did this happen?
My eyes spill of tears
My mouth sing of cries
Her body on the floor
The woman that mothered me
Whose breast I sucked
On whose mouth I sucked
The woman who gave me life
Brought down like a fly
She made me
In her I lived
My heart pants
Vengeance is my meal
Never will I let go
My blood I shall give
To right the wrongs of her betrayer
One who shared from her loins.
