Beaches - A Forever Friendship

A friendship that starts at the beach as children. Bertie is a quiet delicate rich girl where Cee Cee is a loud mouth red head who is trying to be a Hollywood Star. Bertie is lost on the beach at how to get back to the hotel where she is staying at. Cee Cee is under the steps when Bertie sits down and hears her crying. This is where this friendship starts. They talk and Cee Cee agrees to help her find her way back. From that moment on they become friends. They spend the day together before going there separate ways, they take pictures in a photo booth and then vow to write each and stay in touch. As the years go by that friendship builds even more from childhood to adults and they come back together. As the story unfolds it is one that is endearing and will end up being close to your heart.

This book is about friendship and love. It's funny and sad all rolled into one. It's an extraordinary friendship that one would not expect to happen but their differences bring them together to be something special. Not only is there a book but a movie about it as well. Both are one of my favorites. The friendship and memories that it holds is so dear to ones heart, my heart.

This book is about a friendship between two childhood friends who becomes friends at the beach in Atlantic City. There friendship takes them from their childhood to adults. In this book the events unfold about their friendship and how it becomes a lasting, forever and extraordinary. Friendship's that we all want to have in our lives!

As friendships have they up's and down's so do their's but it's their differences that keep a lasting friendship together. Over time Hilary becomes pregnant and Cee Cee is there to help out but as times go forward; Hilary learns she has cancer. Her days are growing more near to the end and wants Cee Cee to help her and her daughter Victoria. She chooses not to be in the hospital during her last moments and asks Cee Cee to take them to the beach house; to where they've taken many beach vacations over the years as their friendship bloomed.

That's where it starts and ends but really the friendship just grows deeper.

This is the sequel to Beaches. It starts with where it left off as Hilary has named Cee Cee, her best friends, to care and raise her daughter. This is a must read to know how the ending turns out as Cee Cee raises Hilary's daughter Victoria.
