Bedtime Story with a Twist in Adorable Picture Book
Nighttime Fears are Banished for Little Blob
Bedtime Story with a Twist
Young children never want to go to bed and sometimes the fear that there are monsters in the closet or under the bed can cause them to want to stay awake. Huw Aaron's adorable picture book Sleep Tight, Disgusting Blob has a twist on this bedtime story that shows that Mom can put their child to be with cuddles, a story to read, and the usual goodnight kiss. Little Blob does not want to go to bed, but he must still brush his teeth and get ready for bed. All of the other little monsters are asleep. Yeti has turned off her light. The little demon has taken his medicine for his cough and is now ready for bed. Little Dracula has brushed his teeth. Mom tells her little blob that all of the monsters are asleep and there is nothing to fear. She tells her little blob that if the dark clouds are scary, then he should just tell them goodby because the little black clouds will also go to sleep.
Sleep Tight, Disgusting Blob is the perfect bedtime story for calming fears. The text is written in rhymes and the illustrations are adorable. If children feel that all of the monsters are asleep, they will feel better about going to bed.
Sleep Tight, Disgusting Blob is recommended for ages 3-7. It was published by Viking, a division of Penguin/Random House. It has an ISBN of 978-0-593-69539-5.
