Cry of the lesbian

Updated on June 11, 2011

I walk your Streets

You stares at me;

I don't need your "Standing Ovation"

Just your kindness, love and devotion,

Who am I?"

I could be Sam or Pam;

I don't need your man.

My indignity is always question with amuse;

I am so, so, ..................................confuse

Your man hate me,

your woman envy me;

I am not better than you.

or you better than me;

I am no wuss

Simply no puss

I don't do makeovers

or am i a push over,

I am just being me>"

"oh, my head, my head"

Stop the staring."

Stop the glaring'

I am not your mother,

Can't be your father,

Could be your Aunt "bee"

Probably Uncle Jessie.'

"oh! my head, my head,

Please pass my Med (Medication

Lord have mercy,

Where is my Percy (purse)

I don't want to swear,"

This throng is a tight fitting underwear,

I just do not know what to wear'

Vest or Dress;

Got to look my best,

Who am I, ?"

What am I?"

Leslie or Lester

      I love this poem. Its strong and intense. I love the expressions of the confusion. it explains one of the many stages I have been through, life is confusing . For anyone. Lesbians ,bisexuals, gays, straights. it's all very hard. You did a beautiful job explaining it . I loved it :)

      Love it especially the play on words employed and the diction. But i think 'while the men hate you, the women should admire you. Lol.

      Good poem

      Cool poem. I think your Pam not Sam, Eve not Adam, Leslie definetly not Lester, the way God made you. God doesn't make mistakes. Vote up :)peace
