Hurting you is the last thing on my mind

Updated on July 16, 2013

Everybody Hurts

I don't want you to be hurting,

You've suffered long enough.

I know hard your life has been.

I know it's made you tough!

.................................................

But deep inside you're hurting,

I know this to be true.

For deep inside myself,

You know I'm hurting too.

.......................................

Life throws these bombshells at us

and we can only wonder

How to deal with 'this one'?

And not be torn asunder.

.........................................

There never have been soul-mates

quite like you and me.,

We're different, aren't we, My dear friend?

Yes.! All the world can see.

............................................

There's such a bond between us,

We share the things that matter,

And no amount of bombshells

Will cause our love to shatter.

..............................................

I don't want you to be hurting,

I do not want to go.........

But I'll be back, I promise,

You know,  you know,   you know.!

.................................................

O ! Micky , you are so funny..... One of my brothers , when I visit him always will insist on taking right up to the door or my railway carraige, while I plead that I'm not an invalid. "I have to make sure you're gone" he says.

I love your sense of humour , it reminds me of him. He can always cheer me up as you do too.

Maybe I should write a poem about you. It'll take a bit of thought though...!!!

Oh so very nice. I imagined this written about me until you promised to be back. Once folks get away from me they don't come back. Thank you very much for another lovely thought.
