I would like to ask a question. Please understand that this is not a sign of discouragement, but rather a  question I'm curious about. My question is this: with so much already written, why do you write?

I think some write for money, b/c they are talented and it is a way to make a living... and for some, it is b/c the creative bug grows and grows... and if it doesn't come out, you might explode. No one wants a giant bug inside them. smile

FOR ME:  Writing is a way to tune into NOW.
What am I thinking that could be relevant and interesting to others? To express these thoughts is pure fun.
Also writing helps the thinking process, tuning into reality and developing wisdom, understanding and knowledge.

... to me writing is a more valid/meaningful activity than art… and I am an artist!
