Would you like to interview a new fiction (crime, horror, whatever) and essay writer?
I was born with a congenital heart defect and had a cardiac transplant more than four years ago. That was my 11th cardiac surgery. I've seen a lot, and much of it goes into my writing. Occupationally, I'm handicapped by the transplant, so I consider myself lucky. I love to write, but I also have to write. There is no way I'll tolerate a limitation, especially one imposed on me by medication, federal regulation and stereotype. I use the anger I feel at these external limitations to write. I want to promote organ donation, but the last thing I want to be is the transplanted writer.
