    what were the GCSE's like in the 90's and earlier,and how many could you take

    how many GCSE's could you get max,and how many did you get?

    Due to the persistent dumbing down of society, the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) was more difficult than the certificate sat for now.  Of course, this is a continuing thing, the GCSE from the 90s was nowhere as difficult as the GCE of the 70s, and that was not as difficult as the GCEs from the 60s and earlier.
    Most people, when I took them, went for five, but I don't think there is a limit, I would say a good strike would be, maths, a science, English language, English literature. and a general studies to improve general knowledge and escape the dinosaur effect of specialisation.
