What is the minimum word count for a good/standard self-help e-book?
I don't believe there is a set minimum word count or a "standard". Generally speaking on the low end you'd see something in the 15-20k range. Naturally the smaller the book is the less a consumer expects to have to pay. Instead of focusing on word count I would focus on my message goals and how to help the reader improve in the topic area.
On the low end you see eBooks selling from 99 cents - $2.99
My own book had slightly over 40k words but it was a print book that was made available on Kindle. Best wishes!

Hi everyone!I have lots of poems that I am considering putting on here, some long and some fairly short. Is there a minimum word count for writing on hubpages. Thanks.x

On another thread, a Hubber suggested that if HubPages had a minimum word count, it would prevent some spammers.I know that a very low word count can get a Hub flagged as substandard, but perhaps it's set too low at the moment?

Write a story without using the word "and". Minimum 200 words

If the minimum words for a hub is set 200 HP will get rid of a thousands of sub-standard contents automatically. No hub should be allowed to publish until it has at least 200 words. If possible 300 words. Poems can be the only exception.

Is there a minimum word count for a hub?I have a picture tutorial on how to do something, and it looks quite short... it only has around 100 words, and 4 pictures. But that's really all it needs. Any more would just be adding words for the sake of adding words. Is that alright, or should I not...
