Hatred for Hatred

Updated on June 15, 2020

Love not hate

No matter what your background, color, or gender is it is important that we remember something…to love. There is no time in which hatred of any kind is appropriate or even okay. It must also be understood that what we need most right now is not the end of one hatred just to trade it in for another, what we need right now is for all hatred to cease. As hippy as it may sound for me to say, we need to love one another right now. Remember this, hatred does nothing but spread destruction while love heals all wounds.

I think that everyone agrees that change needs to occur but how it should occur and what type of change should occur is something we all differ on. No one should ever feel self-conscious about being who they are. No one should be afraid to express themselves vocally, written, artistically, and no one should be afraid to wear a black hoody or even a badge. We need to be free to be us and we need to have the room for error. No one should ever be targeted for being themselves and or for being different.

It is important that we consider how we can come together, how we each provide a different but beautiful perspective. Each person’s experience is unique, and it is one that can provide an answer. Failing to listen, hear, and to respect the perspectives of others is a mistake that will end a solution and create more devastation. Remember that the wrongs which have occurred are not the act of a group but the act of individuals, individuals who should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. The events that have occurred should be a wake-up call not for few but for all of us. The events that have occurred are something that should force us to consider change, a solution, and they should remind us of the destruction caused by hate.

We are all human, we are all loved by God (The I Am), and our blood is no different in color. Love is the solution not hatred of any kind. Whether you are white, black, Muslim, Hispanic, native American, a police officer, a store clerk, a bus driver, or a business owner we are all human. Genesis 1:27 NIV Bible, “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” No one is above another, no one is greater than another, we are all equal, we are all human. One more thought to consider Jesus said in Matthew 5:43-44 NIV, “ You have heard that it was said, ‘love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you love your enemies…”
