How i easily overcame Being Jilted by a Lover

Updated on August 30, 2017

How i Easily Overcame being Jilted by a Lover

For some people, being jilted is not an easy pill to swallow. However ,when a man is the victim of the jilt, the pill is more bitter to swallow. This is because most men believe they should be the one doing the jilting and not the other way round. When my love was thrown back at me ,it was not easy but I devised this methods to escape from the pains.

How i Overcame a Jilt

I may be wrong but it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a jilted man to fell in love again. I believe most women handle this situation better than men because men had to deal with their bruised ego first before dealing with the situation. This is because most men believe they do the jilting and not the other way round.Be it as it might, when I was faced with this situation I took some time out to sort out the issue of my battered ego and then devised this methods to overcome my anger.

The first thing i did was to take an unplanned holiday very far from the environment because I didn't want anything to remind me of her existence.I stayed one week and it dawned on me that the love we shared had become history . I repositioned my mind for a life without the cause of my heartbreak. As I came back from the holiday ,some of the pains were gone.

The next thing I did was to venture out and make friends as if it was going out of fashion. It dawned on me that my ex-girlfriend whom I had paraded like a trophy had robbed me of valuable friends.Together with my new buddies we exchanged visits and went to many interesting places.

As if this was not enough , I went on an adrenaline rush and burnt-up all her memorabilia ,souvenirs and other things that reminded me of her.The most painful aspect was removing her picture that used to decorate my back. Wiping out the tattoo was painful but it was worth all the pains that tingled my nerve endings. After this,I attached enough pain to her name and every thing she represented in my life.

Things started coming up nicely as I developed a new love for the outdoors . I started partying as if i just discovered the meaning of party. This were things I never used to do. I stayed out as long as I wanted because nobody breathed down my neck. To be candid, there were many women along the way but I was afraid of anything close to commitment, not to talk of love.

For the first time in my life I had doubts about my suave and handsome looks . I gave myself a complete makeover which included a new and different hair- cut , a wardrobe change and added a new spring to my steps. This earned me more female acquaintances than I had imagined . Few months later , I observed that it made my ex-girlfriend green with envy

Exactly six months later, I completely overcame the anger. One fateful day , I was out on one of my frequent night-outs and spotted this pretty damsel weeping like a child who had just lost some sweets. On a close inquiry, I discovered that she planned to drink herself to stupor because she was just jilted by her lover . I needed no other invitation to activate my wooing skills . One thing led to another and I was blessed with this charming beauty .My ex girlfriend ,the jilt ,and the pain became part of history.

Find a new love. Let your new love replace the hurt caused by the old lover. Then remember: There must be 50 ways to leave your lover. Just get on the bus, Gus; make a new plan, Stan; don't try to be coy, Roy jus set yourself free.

Well, it has been a long time since I was jilted. I like how you recovered, by travel, finding new friends, and doing your best to have fun.
