Poems That Tickle My Feet - XIX - Robbie The Hunter
Robbie The Hunter - By Pat Gillem
Robbie is a deer hunter, because he has to, you see,
he hunts all the time,he needs to feed his family.
His hunting skills are popular,he is known far and wide,
when it comes to Robbie ,there is no place for the deer to hide.
One day he was sitting in his stand, wearing his favorite scent,
it was Sexy Doe Senile No.12, and to attract a buck it was meant.
Suddenly he felt a presence, that was bigger than a mouse,
siting beside him was a Cougar, that seemed bigger than a house!
The Cougar was confused you see, by that sexy smell,
the fight was on, and who was winning, was very hard to tell.
Finally Robbie hit the ground, running hard for his tent,
he ran so fast and hard, that he outran that sexy scent.
But don't worry, he has more,he is a very smart man,
Sexy Doe Senile No. 12, he keeps two gallons on hand.
The fight went on for hours, and they tore down the tent,
finally they called a truce, because their strength was spent.
They picked up things that were scattered, set back up the tent,
sipping tea, the Cougar asked, '' Where do you get that heavenly scent?''
The moral to this story is, while you are out hunting deer,
don't use this No. 12 scent, you'd be better off smelling like beer!
