I'm Sorry

Updated on March 6, 2010

I'm Sorry

I never thought things would turn out this way

And all that I wanted was for you to ask me to stay

Cause’ all I’ve ever known is to love you

And all I’ve ever wanted was to hold you

In my arms, so tight

Please don’t say goodbye, tonight

CHORUS

(And I’m sorry, for all the bad times,

And I’m sorry, our love got left behind

We can’t change the promises broken

Can’t take away the mean words we’ve spoken

I wish we could start over again)

Love will prevail; yes that’s what they say

But all that I feel is our love slipping away

I see our life together crumbling down,

With each tear I cry, oh I thought that I’d found

The missing piece of my heart

CHORUS

Well I guess this is it, I won’t hope any more

And I will just pick my broken heart off the floor

No matter if you’re not beside me

Your love will stay deep down inside me

Forever More

CHORUS

You have wonderful emotion here and good structure for a song.

"With each tear I cry, oh I thought that I’d found

The missing piece of my heart" I love that!

Try writing something about how you feel and don't think of rhyming or even structure. As if you're having a conversation with your heart.

You have what I call "The writer thingy." Nice work. :)
