Immortality: How Would It Be?....A NiaG Poem
If you had immortality what would you do
Would you soon become tired of tying your shoe
Become burned out on the day to day crunch
Sick of eating the same unsurprising lunch
Watching people as they come and go through the door
Saddened by those that won’t come back any more
Is it worth the illusion that it’s cracked up to be
Why weren’t you happy with aging naturally
Perhaps it’s worth all everyone boasts
You see the world, and give lots of toasts
Celebrating life as it comes another year
Isn’t it wonderful, how special, how queer
You’ve lasted these days and will have plenty more
Watching the curious change of people going through the door
This fantastical way of life given to you
Now gives you enough time to see and do all that is new
