Jack's Poems
Spring and Summer
I wrote these poems about the spring and summer seasons as a school project many years ago when I was a teenager. I hope you enjoy them. I haven't written much poetry since then.

Summer
Is light blue
The color of the sky
Summer feels warm
It sounds like wind blowing
It smells like red roses
It tastes like pineapple
Summer is great
July
Is bright yellow
The color of sunshine
July feels like cool wind on a hot day
It sounds like waves crashing on a beach
It smells like perfume
It tastes like a cold drink on a hot day
July is the best month in the summertime
Wednesday
Is light blue
The color of the sky
Wednesday feels good
It sounds like wind
It smells like flowers
Wednesday tastes like good food
Wednesday means it's closer to the weekend
Freedom
Is a horse
Galloping along
Through a field
It is beautiful
Blue
Color of the sky, water, flowers
Smell of blueberries
A summer day at the beach
Hurricane
If I were a hurricane
I'd bring heavy rain
And high wind
Cool Breeze
If I were a cool summer breeze
I'd blow through the trees
To cool off the hot air
Rain
If I were the rain
I'd fall in the spring and summer
And bring moisture
So everything will get wet
Tennis
Hitting, running, throwing
My coach, a great teacher
Patience, concentration, dedication
It takes a lot of practice to be the best.
