To help or to hurt

To love or to dislike

It is up to us to decide

Each action has it's positive effects and consequences

Then we decide what to do next

I find it so much easier to think before I act

Trying to do what is right that makes me feel good

Then to try to correct my bad choices afterwards

Time is always a challenge for me

So I think things through

I go slower than most people

I also think of the alternatives that can happen after

Sometimes I am way off base

Taken off guard and thrown in a state of confusion and disruption

Most of the time things go better than I had even hoped

These are the days I try to repeat and enjoy to the fullest

Each day is always different

So what works today may not work tomorrow

I love to spend my time restful sleeping and day dreaming

Looking for a positive result

So I can follow up with a good reaction to something I can look forward to

All I know is to give it all I have

Then I have no regrets

I gave it my best shot

I have my good days

That I cherish with all my being

I also have my bad days that I have no control over

That is when I see what happens

From there I take one day at a time

I look back and see how far I have come

Over forty years of trial and error

I am very pleased with my results

Looking forward to a bright future
