Love Poems - From the Heart
Love Poems - Poetry From The Heart
By Loretta Livingstone
I love a love poem. Better still, I love to write my own love poems. Most of us think of love poems as just for a lover - but consider how many people we love. Our parents, our siblings, and not forgetting those precious furbabies - our pets. But it is always good to read love poems about sweethearts. I hope you enjoy reading these.

Some Loved Up Stuff
Some nice ideas for gifts for loved ones here. I'm rather partial to chocolates which are a bit out of the ordinary myself. I thought the heart with wings was rather unusual too. And Love Letters of Great Men sounds absolutely fascinating.
Because You Love Me
"Because you love me
the bad times aren't so bad
the good times are more fun
things are always
lifted out of the commonplace
into something special
The sun shines a little brighter
the birds sing a little sweeter
my heart is always more full
all because you love me"

Fun Love Poems
Poetry doesn't always have to be serious. You can tell someone you love them in a fun way too.
A Silly Love Poem
"A Silly Ode
You're the 0 in my H2
The bubble in my champagne
My candle's wick, ink in my pen
My puddle in the rain
Can't wash my face in plain H2
An inkless pen won't write
I don't like flat champagne, do you?
And wickless wax won't light
If I'm the oyster, you're the pearl
I cherish in my heart
I'll stick to you like superglue
So we can't be prised apart
But, jokes apart, I wish I knew
Exactly how to say
My love for you is strong and true
And deeper every day

What Do YOU Want From Love?
Love Poems
Some like straightforward love poems, some love funny poems. Which do you prefer?
I like
And here's to the ones who got away!
Early loves are not always the best loves, but at the time we think they are. This one got away, but there was another, far better, waiting for me a few years down the track. However at the time I wrote this, I didn't know that!
Three Books
My latest book, Where Angels Tread, is my first novelette.
Jeannie, a teenaged girl is kicked out by her mother, Rita. Stalked by Matt, alone and afraid, is it time for her guardian angel to step in? I will be donating 10% of sales of this book to a charity for the homeless.
Rhythms of Life and Jumping in the Puddles of Life are charming books of verse to inspire you, make you laugh, or maybe bring a tear to your eye. Sigh, chuckle, maybe say a prayer.
