Mind Cocktails
Imagine your thoughts masked by words of another, to be held back and erased by each moment, that your words vanish into the air.
That if they ever come back, they’re words in a salad concocted by a mind not of yours.
So now they do not touch. All those years left, years of knowing and believing that the dots must always touch to burn through the mind.
Imagine your consciousness no longer salient as it used to be, having a brain that no longer looks like yours — that is not of being but is beset in a simulated world.
Imagine that world morphing into your reality that no other person sees, hears, experiences, and understands.
Remembering who you once were while still living you.
Being you but no longer wholly you.
You don’t even know when you started and when you ended.
Yet as long as this “you” lives, no matter the version of many you’s, it doesn’t stop being you.
So then…
Who are you and who would you be?
