Here at last is a book about Cliff Richard by Cliff Richard

In all the years since 1958 that Cliff Richard has been famous, he has often been misquoted. My Life, My Way is a frank sharing of a life that became a success, without the drugs and high-living that ruins so many. Cliff Richard shows how normal he was and yet unafraid to allow his christian faith to be the dominating force in his life that gave him a focus and anchor in the good and bad times. He came from a poor family and shares how he learned to live with money and success. Cliff Richard is the only singer to have outsold every other UK artist including The Beatles and Elvis Presley. Knighted by the Queen for his charity work, his encounters with many famous and interesting people makes fascinating and at times moving reading.

Here is an account of someone who aspired to Elvis Presley and became popular at the time when The Beetles were taking off. He came from singing at the local pub for the few to performing for royalty in front of thousands and today is still filling arenas all over the world.

Cliff As A Young One

Read in the book how Cliff's film "The Young Ones" became the second biggest box-office hit in 1962 and how he went on to make more films with The Shadows, including Summer Holiday.

Summer Holiday

The book describes how the film "Summer Holiday" which came out in 1963, broke all records for a British film and how the soundtrack, most of which was written by The Shadows, remained at the top of the LP charts for 14 weeks!

Find out why Cliff left them even though they were one of the best bands of that time, why he panicked and how he managed to carry on without them.

Re-live some of Cliff Richards And The Shadows best songs from this performance after 50 years since they first formed their band.

"I started to look at the world through new eyes".

In this book, Cliff inspires us to be ourselves, just as he has striven to do over the years, despite the pressures that show business put on him to be otherwise.

I have not seen or heard of Cliff in the last 11 years since I left NZ. He was huge in NZ when I was younger but I guess as I got older, I kind of drifted away from his songs. I cant beleive he is already 70 years old!!!!

Although I really LOVE Cliff Richard and the Shadows tunes, I'm not fan of Cliff's songs as a singer. But some of his tunes were trendy when I was a teenager and they remind me from those simpler times - when I hadn't to earn money and was quietly living with my parents, lol.

I enjoy seeing these musicians from my youth who are still going strong. I like Clff Richard's music, but knew little about him otherwise so I didn't do well on your quiz. Featured on my songs about witches and evil women lens.
