Our Own Nightmares

Updated on February 17, 2012

Chilling memories from childhood

When feelings of rejection weigh heavy on your heart,

And in the dead of night, your wounds begin to ´smart´,

And demons cackling laughter, echo round your room,

Hold tight, Hold on to sanity, Help may be coming soon

Feelings of rejection cut us deeply, to the core,

tearing at our confidence, making us feel sore.

It can leave us feeling helpless, or WORTHLESS, as they said.!

´´Silly girl!!´´ ´´Stupid girl.!´´ ´´Waste of space you are. !´´

´´Go do that job again.´´ ´´Go! Do that job again´´´.

Those words are ringing in her ears, and fear engulfs this tiny girl.

Those yelling voices bring all her fears

To the surface till it ends in tears..

Memories can haunt you, the demons urge them on,

To persuade you ´´you are nothing´´.

Yet deep inside you´re strong.!

You have to fight your demons, with effort you can win.

Start by looking at the good.... You´ll soon not let them in. !!

The good inside you flourishes, if only you´ll allow it.

Don´t listen to the voices, Take no notice of the noises.

Easy, easy, no it´s not, , but think how far you´ve come,

You made it through that manic childhood,

You stand on your own feet.

Believe, believe in who you are,

The REAL you, way down far,

inside the depths of heart and soul

The REAL you can reach your goal.

No longer is the monster, hiding in your bed,

No longer are those bitter words about you being said.

Those horrid people should have loved you, but they now are dead,

You need not fear them any more ,They had no idea of truth.

Hopeless? No! You love others.

Worthless? No! They count on you..

Yes you, dear girl, I do mean you.

The Monsters...gone. The demons left.

You are a beautiful person.

You´re strong and kind and never blind to others situations.

Relax, my love and think of good, only good will help you.

There is a rainbow right ahead, not long till you will see it.

Hold on , Hold tight. The bad? You are free of it. !!

We would like to thank you just as before for the sninnutg ideas you gave Jesse when preparing her post-graduate research and, most importantly, with regard to providing every one of the ideas in a blog post. If we had been aware of your web page a year ago, we would have been kept from the pointless measures we were choosing. Thank you very much.

Enlightening and very powerful Dim. To each person a nightmare is a whole different entity and agonizing remembrance of their realities. Wonderful, awesome, as always.

Hi Alastar, Thanks for your comment.

I know it can be difficult , but these momsters/demons from our childhood CAN be overcome . Sometimes a person may need help and there´s nothing wrong with that.

Thanks again for all you support.

Understand the feelings of rejection very well; and those boogyman demons can be the devil to a child at night. Glad the physic damage was so successfully overcome by you Dim.

Beautiful way of reminding us to be careful of what we say and how we say it. Words can be so hurtful and long lasting.
