Poems That Tickle My Feet X --- Hide And Seek

Updated on October 29, 2011

Hide And Seek - By Pat Gillem

One day we were playing hide and seek, and I needed a place to hide,
I climbed a majestic mountain, and fell down the other side.
I tumbled down the mountain , right over a very high ridge,
and waved hello to some people, as I flew right over a bridge.
I kept falling down the mountain, and was having a wonderful flight,
when I finally hit the bottom, and landed in the middle of a fight.
Two Mountain Rams were squaring off, to slam their heads together,
they just had one thing on their minds, and it wasn't about the weather.
I got up and smiled at them, and said, '' Good day, I really have to run,''
because being hit by one of them, was not going to be any fun.
I have learned that life's lessons ,sometimes can be very hard,
when you are playing hide and seek, you might want to stay in the yard!

I loved the way you casually waved hello to some people, as you flew right over a bridge.

Howdy Patrick (Paddyboy) - The nice thing about folks who like to write poems (such as you...) is that they are seeking while never hiding. Fun poem, this one.

      Gus :-)))
