SOUND OF PAIN: POEM

Updated on January 08, 2014

This poem was borne as a result of the many human oddities orchestrated by our so-called leaders who all appear religious but spend their lifetime duping, extorting and rendering others poor. Even the citizens lack the will and power †Φ lead a revolution as such, they have resigned †Φ fate. Like a faceless face, they have no future.

SOUND OF PAIN: POEM

A caricature of spoilt beans

A sword without a scabbard

A gun without a lock

There a scythe set straight upon a pole

Some had only their dirks and bludgeons

Or stakes pulled out of hedges

Born of hate

Its breathe exhumes wickedness

Roses have withered

In want lives thrive

Churned by desolation

In the house of calamity

Many have trusted

Betrayal rubs their back

In silence they laughed

Scared of its calamity

Fearful of its outcome

In death their bones rest

Full of deceit

Their survival is a myth

They've saluted in defeat

There, their carcasses dwell.

How sad that so many in power are so two faced and profess to be what they are not. You have written this beautifully and with a powerful edge.

      Voted up, awesome, and interesting.

much pain indeed. Politics and its players world over feed us nothing but pain and sorrow. Men and women of insincere guts parade about in showy and flashy wears representing their pockets. I call them 'the silent thieves'...
