Chapter 14
“Good morning, sleepy head!” There was Josh grinning, nearly laughing, walking in front of my porch as I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes, me in my robe with coffee curled up on the porch swing.
I gave him a look of death, and he turned away, still with an annoying smile plastered on his face. I didn’t let him see, but I giggled softly to myself as I dragged into the house and into my apartment to get more coffee.
I shook my head as I brewed another cup and poured it into a travel mug. Then I picked out a smart-looking outfit for my first meeting with Antonio. “Call me Tony,” he had wrote during our first email exchange. I donned my black pencil skirt, polka-dotted blouse, leather jacket, black glitter pumps, heading into the bathroom to pull my hair into a messy bun. I carefully applied my favorite foundation, dark red lipstick, and winged black eyeliner. Then I grabbed my coffee and headed out to my shop.
