Fact-Filled Fun Read for All Swifties

Niki Catherine's fun fact-filled chapter book What Are Taylor Swift's Eras? will delight all Swifties who attended one of her concerts or wanted to attend. The chapter book contains a wealth of facts and information about all of the activities during the tour concerts and great black and white illustrations.

The biographical information makes interesting reading for the Swifties who like to know about her life. Swift had a contract with RCA before she moved to Nashville in 2003, but no one knew whether she was ready for an album until she was eighteen years old. She finally released her first album in 2006 and the rest is history. Taylor was still a teen during her first era. She was in her "girl next door" era for several years. She released her second album at age 18. Her first tour of concerts began after the release of her Fearless album. Her era of these concerts was the first time she had worn red lipstick which became her signature lipstick. Taylor gained notice as a songwriter with her first two albums. Her songs were about relationships and were all successful hits. She continued with her country-pop genre during this era. Her guitar with a fish on it was used during this era tour. She brought this guitar back ten years later during the Midnights Era. During her Red Era Taylor wore vintage styles for each of her concerts. She wore soft sweaters and scarves for these concerts. She also had a circus outfit that she wore, and Swifties like to recreate this costume. The Reputation Era began in 2016 when Swift seemed to disappear from public eye. Her rift with Kanye West was part of the reason for the disappearance. Her Love Era began in 2019. Her costumes were known for the pastel colors. Her Folklore Era began in 2020. Taylor's Midnight album won Album of the Year in 2024. All of these fun facts are just a part of all of the information that can be found in Catherine's What Are Taylor Swift's Eras?

The black and white illustrations feature Swift in the variety of costumes and illustrations of the awards that she has won through the years.

What Are Taylor Swift's Eras? is recommended for ages 8-10, but Swifties of all ages will find this to be a fun and informative read.

The book was published by Penguin Workshop, a division of Penguin/Random House. It has an ISBN of 979-8-217-05039-0.
