The pain of four walls crying

Updated on October 14, 2012

I remember the feeling

As I stood there alone

The silence screaming loudly

In the walls that we called home

The walls pleading with me

Where have they all gone

Looking for an answer

For a sign .........a dear Jon

The pain of four walls crying

As they died without their air

For you were the life in this home

It only breathed cause you were there

But every room reminds me

Of the love that we shared

Cruel ghosts of you stab my soul

Every time I find your hair

Will ghosts be here forever

Playing with my soul

Slicing through my solace

As I stay here growing old

Well I just had to return to this classic and say - you also make me sigh , lol, what yearning here - and it just breaks my heart for you - they can't teach your style of writing at school because you are just a natural and it's a gift you're born with.

So I will take your words as a lullaby to bed with me and two other women I share it with (don't worry buddy I'm the one in the middle , lol) and I will see you again. Please keep in touch and sending you good energy and karma from lake erie time ontario canada 5:44am

p.s. - I don't let my 2 girlfriends read your writing for fear of losing them, lol.

Oh I hate that feeling...it lingers everywhere for a time. Kind of haunting. Hard to let go of a loved one, remembering, and still loving. Think the hardest thing was to learn to let go of everything in this world...but at the same time there is freedom when we finally do...and the ghost no longer lingers.

Hi Jon, she is pretty and cute here! But your heart is amazingly prettier...your strength and courage in putting this poem together shows how amazing you are and your love is. Let good air come through your windows into the empty rooms she's left her tracks behind. One day, you will be happy and find love you truly deserve! Beautiful poem.

Beautiful and nicely put.I was there too and I know how hard it is when you find yourself pushed sideways with nothing to gain just pain.Hang in there, stay strong when nostalgy attacks you.All of us have those moments.Chin up.Life is still fresh and not that yet bad.

How profoundly you describe your emotions...the pain and heart break. I so feel for you and am reminded that these deep wounds take forever to heal....and leave us bleeding profusely....I can only send you a hug and a shoulder...and offer my hand.....One day it gets better.....slowly & weakly, but it does get better..........Please feel Peace any moment you can.
