The Poets Dark Side

Updated on September 26, 2014

As time at a snail’s pace goes on~

I sit amongst a cold vacant place~

While rain hits the window pain~

Me straight faced.

With thoughts unclear~

I am lost~

To know what life is about~

In the mist of anxiety and fear.

Why on this day~

I am lonely, board, and feel~

Is just a waste till death has its way.

Amid the dung~

I reminisce of what was left~

Brings me to recall the~

Sour notes of time~

As I only recollect the sadness that is alone mine.

Yes I will be cheered~

But in these moments~

My blue side writes this with ease~

Letting the dark me~

Be untangled and free!

      Dear Readers~

Wow everyone! Thank you so much!

To think I thought for the longest time no one was commenting on my writings? Yet here I am finally catching up on all your wonderful comments! The reason being I have not answered your comments recently and in a timely fashion is that I had no idea they were there, because maybe my notifications were set wrong? I do not really know? Yet I am hoping I fixed the problem by playing with the notification buttons. We shall see. But the main thing is that I can tell you how each one of your comments delight my heart and I truly appreciate them all. Have an awesome day everyone!

And yes, writing makes us free! It frees us from the sour notes of time, indeed. Sharing for you, Lisa.

Good morning, Lisa: You are keeping it real. Your poem is full of realisms. Voted up! Writers know this place very well. It is a place of reflections and gaining of new clear perspectives, yet it is a unlit place though it seems only during this time. it is a trip to the valley. Why this scene has to play out there is a mystery. It happens gradually, just like the ascent to the mountaintop. Every step we take in worship and praise takes us closer to the top. It is an exuberant place to be.

Unlike the valley with its desolation and you never can tell what you will see in the valley. In the valley you may find sin, death, evil, dry bones, sorrow, pain, unrest, and all the other bitter chords that this low place reverberates.

How do I escape going to the valley? Choosing who made both places is the escape from the valley. Some scenarios of this life play out in the emptiness of a wilderness and valley scene. Some of us know the ole valley song very well. Its music is somber and sad. If I had not gone through the valley though, I would not appreciate the mountain so much. Joy is always present on the mountain, you just flow and overflow in it.

I just released a hub yesterday and part of this comment comes from there. If you have some free time I invite you to read it.

      Hi Lisa Luv.

      Why ?

      You let your spirit down?

      Your soul disappointment to daunt?

      Your body numbness terrorized?

      ' lift up your eyes

      to the hills

      dwell on ease…

That sounds like someone who sits and worries about writing the next word, or the next line, of a poem. I simply let it come to me and do not worry about it. I voted up, shared and pinned it.
