A beautiful family

Whom I adore

We have been like ships

Smashing in to shore

The sun rose high

Lighting up the sky

Mellowing the waves

That were crashing by

like a ray of light

Waiting for me

Shining so bright

Slowly my ship

I had lost touch with most of my family, for a very long time.

I have four step brothers. Over the past 10 years, we have all been very distant as a family.

Divorces happen, drama's occur and before you know it - nothing is working right!

Suddenly, there was a great tragic loss, within the family. A member of the family who left behind a light, that shone down upon us all. Giving us the strength and courage, to come together once more.

Thanks to the elders in the family, we all came together.

Our elders sat down and wrote a very heartfelt letter, to all of us grown up kids. I think exactly what we needed, after all the years lost.

My heart is just so full, at this point in my life. I just wanted to cry when my Nieces and Nephews, called me Aunty. Although, I thought that I may scare them if I did, so I held back the tears well :)

We all have so much to catch up on and I can't wait! The funny thing is - there is so many of them lol, so I better manage my time well.

When I think about everything that has happened, up till now - it all seems so pointless. Life is a beautiful, amazing, mysterious and wonderful thing. Grab hold of every little piece you can and hold on tight. Don't ever, ever let go!

Happiness, love and serenity - that is all we need in life. The rest is just a lesson along the way. Learn from it but don't drown in it, because it takes a long time to swim back.
