Vampire Romance Novel

Are you looking for a thrilling and exciting vampire romance novel? If you are looking for a different twist on romance novels or you simply love the dark, sexy world of vampires and werewolves, then a vampire romance novel is definitely for you.

Vampire romance novels are hot reads no doubt. From Count Dracula to modern day vampires, you will definitely find that the characters are memorable.

There is no doubt vampires are passionate and romantic. Viewed as dangerous and powerful figures, many of the best recent romantic books have been based on vampires.

There are different types of romantic vampire novels, each that will appeal to different types of readers.

Take a look at several of the best vampire romance novels.

The Queen of the Damned

Anne Rice

A vampire romance novel list is not complete unless you include the master of the genre: Anne Rice. Her books were made famous by the screen adaptation of Interview with a Vampire.

Many consider this book, which is part of the Vampire Chronicles, perhaps her best work. In this novel, the vampire Lestat discovers an Egyptian queen vampire who has been sleeping in her tomb for centuries. Lestat's passion for love, life and music awakes and restores her, from her century long slumber.

Hollywood made a movie based on this book, but it was not a great adaption. If you saw the movie, don't be put off from reading the book. The book is much better.

The Vampire's Kiss

In Vampire's Kiss Savannah's twin brother and his wife were brutally murdered. Now she is being hunted by the same monster. To survive and avenge her brother's death she makes a deal with a vampire.

He will transform her and in return she will be his mate for all eternity.

Den of Shadows

Den of Shadows has four complete novels, each with a captivating story. Here is an overview of each book from reader at Amazon

"In the Forests of the Night" is the best of the bunch -- a story about the vampire Risika, who lives near Concorde (oh shock, that was Atwater-Rhodes' hometown) and is tired of her lonely immortal bloodsucking life. Then she receives a black rose, which is apparently a message from another vampire named Aubrey. Since Aubrey apparently killed her beloved brother long ago, Risika obviously is going to fight him. Cue plot twist.

"Demon In My View" twists the whole thing into metafiction, with the jaded goth outsider Jessica Allodola (a published teen writer... why does this sound so familiar?) being shocked when her imaginary character Aubrey turns out to be... real. With the vampire community out for her blood, Jessica plays a game of deception with Aubrey, who is determined to keep her alive. But even Jessica is unaware of the real reason she has a superspeshul bond with the vampires.

"Shattered Mirrors" turns the attention to the vampire-hunter Sarah Tigress Vida, a member of one of the most powerful witch clans. Then she meets a hot vampire named Christopher (who, of course, drinks only animal/donated blood) who is, like, so sensitive and so dreamy and writes poetry. Of course they fall in love, only for Sarah to learn that his twin brother is an allegedly evil vampire whom Sarah has sworn to destroy. Very awkward.

And "Midnight Predator" becomes a problem for slave-turned-vampire-hunter Turquoise Draka, who infiltrates the vampire citadel Midnight to destroy the evil Jeshickah. No, I don't know why Midnight treats its slaves like hotel guests. Anyhow, a nice-guy vampire named Jaguar (cue love story) is in charge of the place now, and of course Turquoise starts to fall for him even as her nasty memories of the past return.

Twilight (The Twilight Saga)

Who hasn't heard of the Twilight series? Twilight is aimed at the young and the young at heart. The vampires though broody aren't that scary. The books are best described as an easy relaxing read. Given the audience, references to sex and romance are toned down for younger readers.

One of the best things about the books is that they are a a great easy escape for a few worry free hours.

If you have read my first novel, "Blood-borne: The saga", you will like it's sequel,

"Vampires After Me." The third book, should be released towards the end of this year.

I've loved vampires since I was a kid, so reading about them in any format, including romance.

I love anything paranormal, especially Vampires, rough but sensitive, dangerous but loveable, demanding but tender. I could go on and on because I so love vampires.

It wasn't so much about vampires, but the love story with a twist. I loved the Twilight series, but I have recently found another great vampire love story Blood-Borne by Carol Barnhill. The people that have reviewed it have given it 5 stars. I have heard the sequel is on the way.

Vampire romance novels just get me excited. There's nothing more cool then a vampire who only wants to love you rather then suck your blood. They're scary yet loving. Great page, although I think the Vampire Romance - Vampiric should be on this list though. Thanks again.
