What do you believe in?

Updated on December 10, 2016

Great Big Smile

Believe in yourself

I am curious to know what people believe in today, I decided to write down my beliefs.

While life is busy running us around, we forget what we believe in and lose hope in ourselves.

The young believe there is no future for them. That world annihilation, through war or disease is inevitable.

Family units do not believe in each other and go to battle.

There are many more examples i could offer. What it really comes down to though, is that people do not believe in themselves!

Many are scared to face the weaker parts, of who they are.

Those momentary lapses of confidence.

The nervousness you may feel, when meeting a new person or experiencing a new culture.

That overwhelming fear that consumes you, when you think you may be rejected.

All of these feelings are quite normal, yet make us feel out of control. If we understood ourselves better, the world and life around us, would settle in it's proper place. We need to be confident and happy, with the person we are.

When you know and understand yourself and what you believe in, everything else falls in to place. Stick to your belief's, don't be wavered. Find out what you believe in!

Be proud of you and everything you do!

Hi skelli, you have a terrific list there. Encouraging kids to stay kids is so important to their growth and self worth.

A stranger is a friend you haven't yet met is a good saying too. Cheers

Thankyou Eiddwen, all this talk aboout food, is making me hungry lol. Thanks for the comments :)

Thanks for that Walt. I think our younger generation is scared. The adults around them, let life get the better of them. The young ones start thinking, "What is the point?". To afraid to step in to life, through fear of what they have seen around them, already!

Yes they are looking for answers, you are spot on. They need to understand and have decent role models, to look up to. They listen to you because they respect you. They like and appreciate, the answers they get from you.

That is a great thing! :D

Thanks for comments and glad you liked the hub :)

      Cheers Skellie

Wonderful, as usual. I belive you are so correct about what most folks don't see, "The belief in themselves". There are not enough "wiser" people in the world willing to lend some advice, I speak to our younger generation quite a bit and they listen to me...and I'm even a little boring. :) They are looking for answers just like us all and if I happen to have one or two,I will gladly share.Great hub...W

Hello Kirutaye, nice to know there are some people out there, who still believe in all things good :) Thankyou for visiting my hub and for your comment.

Hi there Moonchild60, Yes the hippies were definately on to something. I think i should have been raised during that era lol

I believe you are right! religion was created to control the masses - that was not God's will, that was man's will.

Children have so much to offer the world and they need to be nurtured that way :D

Thankyou for your wonderful comments and i am glad you liked the hub. Come by anytime :D

      Cheers Skellie

Hi Skellie - I believe that Hippies were onto something. I believe that love may not conquer all, but it sure as hell helps you get through it.

I believe religion was created to control the masses and make them live the way they wanted them too.

I believe their is loving gentle God.

I believe that children should not be conditioned but raised in a way to be true to their little souls.

I believe this was a great hub!! Loved it.
