Blue and Gold Bedroom Makeover
House Guests
With family headed this way to stay for a week I knew it was time to get busy re-doing a guest bedroom. I'd been thinking about trying a blue and gold color combination with red accents and found just what I was looking for when I came across Palomino Gold and Blue Marina paint colors by Glidden.
The walls that needed to be painted were a plain white and only had a few nail holes to be filled before getting started. I was motivated to get going on this project and a good friend of mine offered to help me out.
It only took a few hours to do the trim and the rest was done in half a day with two of us working on it. The paint used was low odor and dried very fast. We were able to arrange the furniture and hang all the pictures up that afternoon.

French Country Colors
Blah to Aha!
It's amazing what color can do to freshen up a room and change the entire feel of it. I love the richness of the "Blue Marina paint and the "Palomino Gold" that brings a soft warmth to the room. It has that "French Country" color appeal. It's now a great relaxing place to write, read, and sleep.
The overall floor space was left uncluttered for guests to set down luggage and other belongings. The desk area was left clean enough to rest purses, and glasses but also decorative.
