Bosch Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Maker

Updated on March 9, 2012

Bosch Tassimo Coffee Maker, one cup coffee maker

I have to thank my girlfriend for asking for the Tassimo coffee maker for her birthday last year. I can easily say that it was a gift I bought for her but ended up falling in love with it myself. Not a night goes by where I say “would you like a latte?” this is an excellent one cup coffee maker. This machine does not disappoint.

Overall, it's quiet and more energy efficient as it only heats the water when you are making your drink. It is very fast, so you don’t have to worry about waiting to get your fix if you are a caffeine junkie.

Although I am not an espresso kind of guy my dad is and when I made him one with the Tassimo coffee maker he said that it makes a good cup. He noted that it is not as good as freshly ground, but he complimented it by adding the Tassimo espresso makes a better cup than some coffee places.

When I compared the two models the $199 version and the $129 version it is the addition of a water filter and a more attractive finish on the expensive model. The Tassimo coffee machine also has a smaller footprint than other types. It was these two features that sold when I got mine since I live in a condo.

Starbucks House Blend, Medium, Tassimo T Discs

My girlfriend loves Starbucks. I knew that this would be the first type of disc’s that would go into the Tassimo coffee machine when I ordered it. I also knew this would help her Starbucks habit as she could say late in the afternoon, I’ll just make one when I get home” She says she has actually saved money because of the Tassimo T discs For me  I have been gradually rotating through the grocery store coffee selections Gevalia, Maxwell House, Seattle's Best. But now I have developed a taste for Cappuccino.

The Tassimo T-Discs come 12 to a package, and they're the height of a regular coffee disc. Amazon's price on the two pack is incredibly competitive, and I have just seen them available at places like Bed Bath & Beyond Which I saw all piled into a bargain bin

The House Blend is true to form, if you are a real fan of Starbucks, you will be familiar to with the taste. I was not sure what to expect and if my girlfriend would like them but I will definitely be ordering this again.

Even when T-discs are not on sale, it comes out to less than a dollar a cup. Walk into Starbuck and tell them that and on the other hand it is expensive than buying a container of Folgers - but for my girlfriend and I the one cup coffee maker convenience and similar taste just can't be beat.

Starbucks Cappuccino, Tassimo T Discs

Now to be selfish and talk about me for a minute and the Starbucks cappuccino T discs are absolutely perfect. Starbucks includes its own milk disc similar to the one used by Maxwell House. The milk is not sweet and there was less of a cooked milk flavor. The espresso discs, as my dad said earlier, are immensely better to the Maxwell ones. The Starbucks are strong but also not bitter.

For those who think you can enjoy a Tassimo hot beverage let alone a Cappuccino T-disc one cup holds 8 ounces filled. The cappuccino has 60 calories, 4.5 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar, not bad for one cup. The Starbuck like cappuccino flavor is very present in the cup. This is as close to a coffee shop cappuccino as my Tassimo has produced. I am already ordering these discs regularly

Tassimo Coffee Maker Review

The Tassimo coffee maker produces excellent coffee that is individually tailored to the type of coffee you enjoy drinking. The Starbuck's blends of T-discs for the coffee maker are excellent and taste fresh. I particularly recommend the Starbucks cappuccino T-discs and my girlfriend would say to any Starbucks fan to try the Starbucks house blend, T-discs for Tassimo system since they are so true to taste

With the addition of a water filter, a more attractive finish and a smaller footprint than other types I Highly Recommend This Machine for coffee drinkers and people who crave their Starbucks. If your wondering how many colories are in a latte here are some coffee nutrition facts

Very well written 'product' hub. You have included a bit of a story line, and some personal details.

I will include a link from one of my 'Respect for the King' hubs (hope that is all right with you - it is meant as a compliment.

Interesting and useful info. Have to say I still prefer to use real coffee grounds. Thanks for this Hub.

Coffee as a cultural staple is so important and so very overlooked as a writing topic. We should suggest that these single serve companies improve the experience by selling a variety of strengths of flavored coffees in a profitable way. (I usually use very little flavored coffee as a result of poor quality control)
