I was given the Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press by Bru Joy at a discount in exchange for an honest unbiased review of the product. This review is 100% honest and I was given no payment for a positive review.

Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press

The Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press, is made from FDA approved aluminum, this citrus press allows the user to squeeze lemon, lime, oranges, tangerines, grapefruits, clementines, and other citruses. The larger citruses like grapefruits and larger oranges may need to be sliced into quarters instead of halves to fit, but they can still be juiced as easily as the smaller citruses. This juicer only requires the user; there is no need for batteries, plugins, or any form of electricity.

The Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press has two bowls of different sizes. The first one is green colored and it works best on the smaller citruses like lemons and limes. The second bowl is bigger and is yellow colored; this bowl is for the bigger citruses like oranges. The dual bowl aspect of this juicer allows users to juice smaller citruses and larger citruses at the same time. User can put a lime in the green bowl and an orange in the bottom bowl and squeeze. The juicer has seven holes on each bowl this allows the juice to leave the juicer, but it restricts the pulp and seeds.

The Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press is dishwasher safe. This aspect of the juicer allows for easy maintenance without fear of damage.

Arrival

The Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press arrived to me in a timely manner. The Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press was shipped in an Amazon cardboard box. Inside the box was the package box for Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press, you can see the front and back of the box in the pictures below. When I opened the box I found the Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press wrapped in a layer of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap did a great job of keeping the citrus press unscratched and undamaged. There were no marks or defects on the Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press.

Review

As I said in the disclaimer I received this Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press by Bru Joy at a discount in exchange for an honest unbiased review of the product. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box and saw the citrus press for the first time was how vibrant the colors are. When I picked it up I was surprised at how sturdy the citrus really was. This citrus press is no cheap piece of plastic with pretty colors it is the real deal. The citrus press is made from FDA approved aluminum. The citrus press opens and closes smoothly there are no jerky motions and it does not get stuck at all. You can see me holding the Bru Joy Double Bowl Citrus Press in the pictures below.

When I went to juice my first lemons I was surprised at how easy it was to juice them. I expected to have to use all of my strength and strain myself squeezing, but it was very easy. The citrus press did most of the work for me all I had to do was squeeze the two levers together using both hands it was very easy. I included the recipe that I used my fresh pressed lemons for at the bottom of this hub. It tasted so much better with real lemons than it did when I used a lemon juice I purchased at the store in a bottle it was also a lot cheaper.

Since then I have tried pressing oranges and oranges and lemons at the same time. The orange had to be cut into quarters so it would fit in the press, which was no problem at all. The orange quarters were just as easy to press as the lemons were. I did notice that I had to use some extra effort to press the lemon and orange at the same time. It was not extremely difficult I just had to squeeze a bit more. I liked that I was able to put both citruses into the citrus press at the same time and juice them together.

Overall this citrus press is best for doing a few citruses for a some extra flavor in a beverage or for an extra tang in a meal. I would not want to use this press to make orange juice because it would take a while to juice enough to make a full glass and I would be tired by the time I was done. I personally feel this would make a great edition to any chef's kitchen. I could also see this have great gift potential for chefs and hobby cooks. The bright colors would make a great gift for Jr. chef and the easy use design would allow easy use by a Jr. chef.
