Why Don't builders Install Radiant Barriers?

Updated on February 19, 2011

why do builder resist this installation

I have been in the remodeling and building industry for over 20 years and have been exposed to every building upgrade in the industry. But, never have I seen an upgrade that actually will save customers money and be totally maintenance free.

what am I talking about? Radiant barriers. They install in attic spaces and reduce radiant heat transfer by up to 97%. Reducing energy bills up to 40%.

The state and local government have mandated all sorts of inspections and upgrades to framing, electrical and plumbing, but have ignored the energy savings aspects of home building.

Builders need to look at this option as standard equipment, just like hvac equipment or kitchen cabinets. If this was implemented, the reduction in energy consumption across the US would be in the billions. And, the depletion of natural resources would be slowed. This would also, allow home owners to keep more of their money instead of giving it to the power and gas companies.

If you live in the North Ga area and want to save 30 to 50% on your power bills this summer see the link below. We can be any competitors price on same services, our buying power saves you money up front and our radiant barriers save you year after year. Unlock your home from high power bills.
