"We're Gonna Rock Around the Clock Tonight!"

Being a teenager in the 1950s, Bill Haley & His Comets sang to us about 'clocks' in a way we'll never forget. Dancing to this tune was a time we loved. Listen to this favorite 'clock' song while you browse through all the clocks on this page.

Movies, Books & TV Shows with Clock Titles

Clocks and time itself play a major role in life, so it isn't surprising that book authors and producers of movies and television shows base their stories around the passage of time. Some of the most famous movies and books of the past reflect this. See how many you recognize in the list below:

  • 12 O'Clock High
  • Clockwork Orange
  • Rock Around the Clock
  • One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
  • High Noon
  • 48 Hours

Favorite Hobby

If your 'hobby' is in the field of fiber arts, like me, time spent in your craft room would be fun with a clock that represents your favorite craft, like this one about Knitting! You can also search Amazon for a clock with the design of your favorite hobby!

Brite-Ideas, I agree about it 'being best when we don't care about the time at all'...LOL. Isn't that what 'being retired' means? :)

I have a thing for different clocks as well, the weirder the better, but they're best when we don't care about the time, lol

I've got a clock in every room, DawnRae. :) I'm retired so don't even need to know what time it is most days, but ever since 2:00 a.m. feedings with my first baby, I've always wanted to know what time it was. It just became a habit. So I enjoy my clocks. :)

I don't know why, but I love to look at different clocks. And I have none (other than the cell phone, laptop, cable box) in my apartment. I want "just the right one" and then there are way too many to choose from. I can never decide. Fun article.

This Christmas, I gave my good hubby-buddy a bicycle built for two with a clock built into the front wheel. Thankfully, this gift was small enough to set on the ledge of our stained-glass window. My good hubby-buddy is difficult to buy for, but when he found this in the store, he really liked it.

I do hope you will forgive the message that is repeated to others. I was so thrilled an excited that so many people visited an commented on my pages whilst I was unable to keep up an I wanna thank everyone. Unfortunately, I havent figured out how to think an type fast enough to thank everyone for your many good wishes an kind thoughts, without running behind an missing someone.

My heart is full as I begin to write. Your visits, Squid Likes, Angel Blessings, an all visits of note meant so much to me. I am jus overwhelmed with love for everyone who has shared your support as I continue to seek excellence on Squidoo. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for the kindness you have shown. I look forward to getting to know you an learning from you. Thank you for everything!

Some very interesting clocks. I happen to have an unusual one that looks like a bunch of gears, and the largest gear has the numbers, and they actually turn around so that you read the time at the top! I get a lot of comments on it as it is very unusual. Glad I took the "time" to stop by!

"Time" is fascinating. Today I bought a watch I like because my usual watch just stopped working. It's nothing fancy, but something about focusing in on time makes it slow down.

And something about making lenses to make Giant Squid makes time become irrelevant as suddenly 4 hours have gone by and you abruptly come to your senses!!!
