Create A Better Garden By Using Companion Plants
The idea behind growing certain plants alongside each other has gained in popularity over the past few decades.
The term used for this incredible gardening method is known as Companion Planting.
The purported benefits of these relationships between the pairing of one specific plant to another is that in doing so, the gardener will experience a notable betterment of whatever it is that they are cultivating.
There Are Special Relationships Between Certain Plants
Many gardeners claim to realize a significant enhancement to the plant's growth, health, performance and flavor.
Specific flower, vegetable and herb juxtapositions can effectively inhibit certain pests from invading the garden and doing their damage.
These rather unique plant relationships are capable of assisting the gardener, like a silent helper, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week!
My Grandmother always planted Marigolds at each of the four corners of her vegetable bed, and was certain that their pungent odor helped repel ‘Those pesky varmints!’
She was certain that these Marigolds created some sort of ‘force field’ against the marauding band of bunnies.
I just remember them making a beautiful, but super stinky bouquet!
I have decided to focus the list below to include the more prevalent types of vegetables, herbs and flowers that are popular with today’s home gardener.
Try a few of these combinations for yourself, and see if you perceive any improvements from this year compared to last year’s success.
