Updated on December 13, 2010

Steep Your Tea at the Perfect Temperature for the Best Taste

The Cuisinart Stainless Steel Perfec Temp Electric Kettle is a great device for those that love to drink hot beverages and for those that like to have quick access to hot water for hot cereals and for hot soups. Water boils in a matter of a few minutes so the wait time is minimal. The versatility of six different temperature settings from a relatively hot 160 degrees (F) on up to the boiling point expands the tea lovers possibilities. If you like to linger over the morning newspaper or your Kindle the Cuisinart Stainless Steel Electric Kettle will hold the set temperature for up to 30 minutes. If you linger too long and end up in a rush – there is an automatic shut-off feature to save the day.

This electric Kettle is very sleek in appearance and long on functionality. The kettle has no cords so pouring from it is easy. The corded heating base (contains the heating element) allows for 360 degree spinning of the kettle as it sits on top so regardless of where you are – accessing the kettle is safe and comfortable. The two minute memory feature allows the Cuisinart Perfec Temp Kettle to hold its preset temperature while being passed around by other family members or friends.

The water level is easy to track through the window located on the side of the Perfec Temp Kettle. A blue backlight provides just enough glow to see the water level marks. Operating the Perfec Temp Kettle is easy due to the start, the open and the six preset temperature buttons located on the upper end of the non-slip handle. The handle stays cool to the touch and the spout is non-drip.

Tea lovers know that the water temperature is the key to steeping the tea to the perfect flavor. Depending on the type of tea you prefer the Cuisinart Perfec Temp Electric Kettle has you covered. The popular Green Tea heat setting is 175 degrees (F) while a more delicate tea setting is 160 degrees (F). The preset temperatures are 160 degrees (F), 175 degrees (F), 185 degrees (F), 190 degrees (F) and 200 degrees (F) and boiling which is approximately 212 degrees (F).

The Cuisinart Perfec Temp Stainless Steel Electric Kettle has a footprint of approimalety 8 inches x 10 inches x 12 inches. In the box you will find the kettle and base, the users manual and some receipes. There is a hefty 3 year limited warranty as well.

This is not your ordinary tea kettle. There is no whistle and it does not take up one of the burners on your cook-top. It looks good and is advanced in its abilities. If your cup of tea does not please your palet – this kettle is probably not at fault. If you miss your Perfec Temp Kettle when visiting mom – maybe you should own a second one that stays at her house.
