Home is where all things come together

Updated on August 5, 2010

Time to let everything else go

When I come home

I am at peace and let my body relax

I can let my guard down

I can leave my worries out on the door mat

I can close my eyes and feel free to be happy

I don't have to talk

I don't have to do anything

I am very satisfied just to listen to the silence

I wonder if my thoughts are in the air

Just bouncing off my walls

Trying to get my attention

Slowly I go to sleep

I often think of ways to make tomorrow a better place

Some ideas are just whims of thought that never develops

Other thoughts connect and make meaning that stands tall above the rest

I hope with courage I can support those strong ideas

With confidence and deep concentration

I embrace the unknown

I seek help from the all knowing

Each effort I make helps me take one step forward to a new goal

One that I could of never seen just hours ago

I build up my enthusiasm and excitement

To help understand my thoughts in a totally new way

To figure something out to change life forever

All we have to do is ask and listen

The answers will come clear

At the proper time

Just like we had hoped

Nature has a way of spreading love to everyone and everything

All we have to do is care from our hearts and be willing to share

To the world that we see

Hidden behind all the other facades

Yolanda Yvette I am only beginning to feel and see life.I am so surprised that I have lived so long and have tried to express my feelings in the past but didn't know how. Now I can show my feelings clearer and let others share theirs in ways I never new before.Thank you so much and I am happier now than before.

You are an exceptional writer. I truly admire the way you express yourself. it's like you're painting a vivid and relative picture before one's eyes as they read your hubs.

      Great work.

So full of nostalgic thoughts about "home". Really, but "home is where the heart is". All seeds of struggles in life are first sown in a home, it is nurtured daily with our love of life. Well-written hub, DREAM ON!

Dim Flaxenwick You will find many changes in your life.Sometimes you will see your life in many different lights .That was impossible from where you were.I am not one for change. But I hate to admit it some changes were for the better.I resisted them like a nest of yellow jackets I just sprayed.Thank you for reading and sharing.

cool, I hold home as the place that is as far as one can go to escape it all, but sometimes it is not enough, but remains our final hide out. Great hub, 50

Buddy Billy we force ourselves out sometimes and we're glad of it - but man it's good to get back home.
