House Plant - Refreshing Potting Soil
This is a Hoya, or wax plant. This one is about 16 years old. They bloom when they are root bound.
This particular plant was grown from a cutting. The dirt is very dry and needs a new batch. One of the fronds has been tied to the hanger so that needs to be untwisted and removed before I start.
I untangled the plant. Removed it from the pot, then added rocks to the pot, some new dirt, then put the roots back jnto the pot. I then filled in with new dirt.
Now water. Place back in hanger. Reattach fronds to hanger with bread ties.
Done.
