How to Clean Grout With Homemade Cleaner

Updated on July 31, 2015

Homemade Cleaning Recipes

Grout can be extremely hard to clean, even using cleaners that can be purchased in the stores. This homemade grout cleaner cleans grout amazingly well, and is a fraction of the cost of store bought grout cleaner.

7 1/2 cups of water

1/4 cup of white vinegar

1/3 cup of lemon juice (or ammonia)

1/2 cup of baking soda

In a 2 gallon bucket add all the dry ingredients first. Now add the water and mix well, now add the vinegar. Use a course brush and apply in a circular motion. After you clean about a foot area, dry it with an old cleaning rag or paper towel. This is important so that the dirty water will not dry back onto the grout.
