How to Clean Laminate Floors
Laminate flooring is an inexpensive alternative to real hard wood. It is just as beautiful as the real thing and requires special care to keep it looking like new. I have put together some steps to keep your floor looking beautiful with minimal work.
- Sweep floor using a dry sweeping system.
- Spray a small area of the floor with a cleaner specifically made for laminate.
- Use a mop with a microfiber head to thoroughly mop the floor, absorbing most of the cleaner.
Avoid using an excessive amount of cleaner on the laminate as it may be absorbed into the planking and cause bowing. I personally use the Swiffer dry cloths to sweep as I have found that brooms do no more than push around the dust and dirt. I also use the Libman wet/dry mop with the microfiber head and Rubbermaid hardwood and laminate floor cleaner. With the proper care, laminate flooring can add comfort and style to your home for many years.
