Here is some information that you can use to grow carrots doing the summer months in pots or containers. Also this article will give you the know how on how to plant your baby carrots in pots or containers and what soil to use in doing so. You can first start your Sweet Baby Carrots in propagating seed flats first. If you want you can start your carrot seeds in propagating seed flats like always you take a empty seed flat and make sure that the empty flat is sterilized and its clean. And then you fill it half full of germination mix then you take the flat and soak the soil and put it on the propagating mat and let it drain. Next you sow the seeds evenly in the flat after that make sure you mist the seed flat thoroughly and if you have a greenhouse make sure you place the flat up on the greenhouse bench. And if you don't have a greenhouse you can start your carrots seeds indoors in a clean seed flat just like I said for how to propagate and start carrots in seed flats then transplant them into containers or pots. Keep them watered until they take and if you have a greenhouse you can put them on the greenhouse bench or if you are starting the carrots in your house you can transplant them and keep them under grow lights. Keep the plants under the gro lights until the weather permits for them to go outside on your porch or patio. And if you have them in a greenhouse you can set them outside after the danger of frost has past.

.Fertilize the carrots when they germinate the fertilize that you can use is Miracle Gro or Peters Fertilizer. Read the directions on the package before you fertilize the carrot plants. If you don't have a greenhouse then sow the carrots the regular method starting about June the 1st. Takes 2-3 weeks to germinate outside in your containers. When the carrots are growing make sure you keep the tops cover with soil so that you don't get green shoulders on the carrots that are out of the soil keep your carrots covered.       I love carrots! Thanks for this informative hub.

      One bit of advice on this hub (hope you don't mind)... I see plenty of blank spaces between lines that should not be there. Consider fixing that so the hub looks more presentable and professional. Also consider adding a picture to this hub of the carrots.
