Kitchen Gadgets That Make Cooking Fun
Kitchen gadgets are one of the top items couples enjoy buying together, particularly if they enjoy cooking in the kitchen together. Having the right gadget for the job makes cooking much more pleasurable. If your spouse or significant other doesn't help in the kitchen, perhaps the right gadgetry can change that? It's something to think about. It's also a great way to get kids involved in cooking as well.
Recently, I was playing around online and found so many new gadgets that I thought you might enjoy knowing about. With Christmas coming up, this is a great time to consider these items for gifts. Kitchen gadgets, particularly novelty gadgets, are a fun item to take to a Chinese Christmas party. Your gift will be the one everyone fights over.
Corn Dog Maker
Making your own corn dogs is a great way to get kids involved in cooking. Almost every kid loves a good corndog.
For adults, I think it brings back memories of going to the county fair or school carnival. Who can forget the smell of fresh corn dogs?
Doughnut (or Donut) Maker
This is another item kids just love to help with. Making your own homemade doughnuts is a great way to bond with your kids or grandkids. You can buy or make different flavors and colors of icing and sprinkles.
This is fun activity for a girl's sleepover party. Provide assorted candies, sprinkles, chocolate chips, canned icings, etc. and watch them have a blast creating all sorts of wild combinations.
Just in case you're wondering, Santa also likes doughnuts. This year, you can leave him a fresh made doughnut covered in red and green sprinkles.
Low-Fat Fryer
The T-fal ActiFry enables you to cook all your favorite tasty dishes while reducing the amount of fat from them. It’s engineered to minimize the use of oil. It takes only one tablespoon of oil to make 2 pounds of French fries as opposed to the 3 liters of oil used in most deep fat fryers. It can be used for other things besides frying. It can be used to make gumbo, stir fry meals, and even desserts.
Homemade Quesadilla Maker
Tex-mex food is a local favorite and everyone loves quesadillas. Having your own quesadilla maker is a great time-saver for creating snacks and appetizers for parties and those after-school hungry kids.
Throw some flour tortillas on the quesadilla maker with all of your favorites like chicken, shredded cheeses (Monterrey jack, Colby, Cheddar, Swiss, etc.) and some grilled vegetables like onions and bell peppers in the middle and you soon will have a great tasting snack or meal. Put on a plate while still warm and add some shredded lettuce and tomato, pico de gallo, guacamole and sour cream.
My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Boot-Shaped Potato Masher
This cute potato masher is shaped like a boot print.
This is a great gadget to use to relieve stress. I could see a lot of people I know using this on all sorts of things besides potatoes.
Talking Milk Mixers and S'mores Makers
Is there anyone that doesn't like chocolate milk? One of these cute milk mixers moos when you're mixing your chocolate milk. You know kids of all ages will love mixing their milk with this.
The s'mores maker enables you to make two s'mores at a time in the microwave oven. The arms help hold everything in place so that it warms evenly and the marshmallows stay in place. This is much easier than building a fire outside and hunting for wire coat hangers don't you think?
