Maytag French Door Refrigerator Review
Great Looking Fridge
Why French Doors?
A "French Door" refrigerator is designed with double doors on the top refrigerator section, and a pull-out drawer freezer on the bottom. French door refrigerators have been around for about 20 years, but have become more popular over the last eight years, or so.
What I love about this style, is that the refrigerator section is at eye level. The shelves are much wider than in a "side by side" model. I can easily fit a large item, like a birthday cake, on one of the shelves.
My refrigerator has two "fruit and vegetable drawers", and a pull out "deli drawer". There is also a pull out basket, and sturdy shelves on the door.

Food Lasts Longer
I have found that my food lasts much longer in my "Maytag French Door Refrigerator." than in my previous fridge. All my fruit, and vegetables, are lasting much longer in this refrigerator. I have had lettuce to last two weeks.
There is a hinged seal on the left side door. This seal folds out of the way when the door is open. When you close the doors, a seal is formed between the two doors. There is also a humidity control, that keeps moisture from forming. This is very helpful in the humid South, where I live.

The Freezer section pulls out smoothly. It is roomy, and easy to organize. The lower part of the freezer is divided into two sections. There is an upper pull out basket drawer. This is convenient for often used items. The ice maker is also located here.
In my old "side by side" refrigerator, the space was hard to keep organized. Large items had to be turned sideways. Often, when I opened the door, something would fall out.

Updates at Later Date
I have only had my refrigerator since September. This is why I can only give 4 stars. I will have to rate again after it has been in use for a year.
